We would like to thank David and April for making our stay in Singapore relaxing, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable. I dont think we could have chosen a better place to stay. The staff were extremely helpful and fun! A special mention to chef who prepared us some mouth watering and succulent steaks. Mountain bikes were supplied free of charge whenever we needed them. A special thanks to David (owner) who helped us on many occassions with travel. We would definitely stay at Fern Loft again. K

A great place to stay and close to the airport. Taxi is about SGD10 -12 (before 5pm). Bus stop right outside. Food downstairs is spot on and 50% off helps a lot. Rooms are clean with fan and aircon. David goes out of his way to help as does all the satff. Would stay here again no problem.

Great place with great people. The hostel is clean & tidy at all times. April, the Branch Manager was helpful towards our enquires & provide useful informations to us. The in-house bar downstairs was great! & they provide great deals too. Thank you.

The Fernloft East Coast isn't located in the town center. If you like to stay on the half way between airport and town center it is the perfect place.

I stayed in the Fernloft Backpackers in Chinatown - Singapore for five nights. I really enjoyed this place as it is clean and safe. From my longtime experience of backpacking I can say that Aini as being the manager of this place, is probably the best host i have ever met in any hostel. Her cooperation and helpfulness as well as her 24 hour presence is outstanding!

I'd love to come back some day. Aini, if this message goes to you, thank you for everything, I really appreciated your support!

Nice location, safe and clean place. Rooms are calm and confortable thanks to Aunty Aini. She works hard everyday and treats us as her family with kindful help. I felt as if I'm staying her home. It may be better than I'm home!? I extended my stay. I believe you'll think so too if you come here. I not only stayed comfortably but also made so many memories with her. I'll never forget my stay

top marks all round for this compact and homely wee hostel. annie runs a tight ship and works hard at making sure her guests have everything they need. she will help u arrange your exit from singapore and offers other little treats like scrambled eggs and indian pancakes in the morning! i felt very settled at this handy location and extended my visit by 5 days

Aini, the manager is extremely nice. The place is clean, quit, and in a great location right in China town with a great view of the back of the city. It's not a hostel designed for fun though. There is no obvious central meeting place, bar, or cafe, and people seem to stick to themselves mostly.

Fernloft turned out to be so much better than I expected. I was just looking for a cheap hostel close to the MRT but liked it so much so that I extended my stay. It was much because of the friendly atmosphere of the place. Annie is a real sweetheart and really takes care of the guest and you will feel like home.

This was the best Hostel i ever stayed!! A nice & warm place that is easily accessible. And it is absolutely clean! Moreover, it is located right in the middle of Chinatown. Aini the branch manager was great too. She's lovely, friendly & caring. She makes us feel like home here. Thank yuou so much. =)

this was my first hostel experience and i was not disappointed ,aini the manager was lovely ,she does a great job here looking after all the guests. i will definitely stay here again if i travel to singapore. my daughter oriane loved it here too in a very relaxing atmosphere. the free internet and breakfast is also very good. many thanks aini for a very pleasant stay. all the best rob, sunny, and oriane.xxxxxx

I am from Tokyo and have stayed in many youth hostels viz. Downtown youth hostel in Los Angeles, International hostel in Osaka, Youth hostel in Delhi etc. Currently, I am staying in Fernloft Chinatown hostel . This hostel is totally different from the hostels in which i have stayed so far, the the reason that i liked this hostel the most is only due to the courteous behaviour of the host of this hostel here. The lady who acts as host is so polite and cooperative that makes this hostel a great place to stay. The name of the host is Ms. Aini who is more famous by Aunty Aini among the hostelers. Though i can not count examples that describe about her polite behavior among hostelers but let me share one of them. I bothered her in sleep when I reached late night to check in to this hostel because of flight delay but Aunty Aini cooperated with me that time by providing me temporary stay that time while keeping the hostel rules intact.
My personal recommendations are very strong to stay in this hostel .

Spotlessly clean. Conveniently located for MRT, buses, shopping AND Mustapha! Free Internet. Staff most helpful, always ready to assist with a smile on their face. Been to Singapore several times a year for the past 15 years, this year booked their double room for 6 days; turned out to be by far the best place I've stayed at, and cheap too. Not many places would offer you a double room with a basic breakfast for 60 SGD. I regret I didn't know of it earlier. Would highly recommend it.

I think the caption "No strangers only friends" for this hostel perfectly suits it. They are at their best in the cleanliness, security and character. I recommend to everyone to have a stay at Fernloft (Little India) whenever they visit Singapore.

This hostel is really great. Rooms are comfy, toilets are especially clean & is convenient to the city. The staff are very kind, always smiling and ready to help. I remember especially Glenys and Rhodorra. the next time i visit Singapore it will be directly here. Cheers! =)
